Fun Summer Project with mail
WEEKEND PROJECT IDEA FROM MUNKIY CLOTHING…For Those of you with children 3 years and older, here’s a quick fun little project. At the toddler age, your child experiences the concept of mail. His or her experiences may come from either tagging along with you to get it or learning about it in school. You may have even been asked where mail comes form or where it goes. Take your child’s curiosity to the next level by mounting a wall mounted mailbox on the outside of his or her bedroom door. It will be a perfect addition right before Summer. Your child will want to share his or her experiences with a friend, a cousin, grandparents and possibly even Santa. Photos of experiences can be attached to letters or drawings. And when your child receives return mail, it makes the project that much more fun. Drop any mail addressed to them in their personal mailbox for them to retrieve and open themselves. For the older children, at 4+ years, take it a step further and help them create an address book with pictures. They will be able to find who they want to send their letter to and address it themselves. And now they can practice their writing skills!!
